Are you a real person, do you use AI, and how can I contact you?

I was born in the 80’s, relied on emotional support as a child from questionable horror movies and cartoons, and I cry a lot after decades of not crying at all. Does that answer the first question? Good, let’s move on…

I do not use AI in any regard when it comes to artwork because quite simply, it makes the term “artwork” null and void. You can read more about my opinion on AI below.

Do you offer refunds?

If you order a physical painting or print and the delivery system loses it and we’re unable to track it down, I’ll offer a partial refund based on the price paid. We’re in this together, I’ll break some legs if I have to, but we’re both at a loss. I’ll try to remedy the remainder of the cost with digital prints or a discount on another painting.

Why are you so against AI?

Against is strong word. But I look at it like this… AI is a tool. In the right hands, it’s a life aid, a little misguided digital fairy godmother. BUT, in the wrong hands, AI is identity theft. If you relinquish the work part of creating art, you simply cannot create art. The work is the point. And I do believe with my hardy heart that it’s the corporatization of ideas and thoughts and every time we feed an AI model with a thought or idea, we’re giving it away for free with zero ownership over it. Staunch opposition to giant corporations using us, so they don’t have to hire us is a fight worth fighting for.
